Evening Reception: Jurmala City Council invites all conference participants to an evening reception at 19.00 on Thursday, September 9, 2010.

General Information:
You arrive to Riga airport and can take a minibus/bus or a taxi to Jurmala from there. Taxi to Jurmala costs around 12 to 15 Latvian lats ( 20 - 23€ or 180 - 210 Swedish crowns) and it takes 15-20 minutes to come to Jurmala.

The Conference will start at 13.00 on Thursday, September 9, 2010 and end at 13.00 on Friday, September 10.

Second World Forum Against Drugs

The First World Forum Against Drugs was held in Stockholm, Sweden in September 2008. More than 600 representatives from 82 countries attended the first World Forum. The Forum resulted in a Declaration that has been signed by a large number of organisations and individuals.

This year the World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) was formed in Vienna, Austria with a board representing all continents.
May 24-26, 2010 WFAD will host the second World Forum Against Drugs under the patronage of H.M.Queen Silvia of Sweden.

The 2010 World Forum will focus primarily on:
- New research on cannabis
- Drugs in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Adult drug abuse and its influence on children
